Hey guys!x
First off, sorry for such a long time with no post we have just been very busy over the last few weeks with school work and mock exams, but we have finally got the time to write another post, since last weekend we went to London together and did some shopping we decided that this post will be a London Haul! So these are the things that we bought when we were in London...
Obviously, the first place we headed for was of course Primark because it is massive!!! Unfortunately much to our surprise in Primark we didn't actually purchase very many things because even though the store was very big there wasn't a very wide range of clothes which seemed to suit our liking. however these are the things which we did purchase-
In this photo these is a Dream sign which I bought to go above my bed as it tied in with my bedroom theme and looked very vintage. It cost £3.50 which I thought was a very good price as in other shops that sell room signs they are much more expensive. Also there is a Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm which we have reviewed in a previous blog which you can check out if your interested. Since I like this lip product so much that is why I repurchased it and I got it from Primark since in most Drug Stores they cost around £2.50 however in Primark it was only £2.
We also bought this 'Peter Pan' Collared Jumper. This is a pastel pink jumper with a cream lace peter pan collar with fake pearls. I bought this because I felt it would be a good addition to my wardrobe for spring because pastels are still quite in style. Also spring in England is quite cold still so this jumper will keep me warm. This jumper cost £12. Primark prices have slowly started to increase lately so this is why it was a bit expensive for Primark.
After we went to Primark on Regent Street we carried on waling down the street and passed many Boots and Superdrug, so we decided to go in and have a look . We bought a face mask and the new Baby Skin that has recently come out.
The facemask purchased was a mud mask. The brand of the face mask was Mudd. It cost 99p for a trial mask since this gave one application where the full pack cost £5 and had 10 applications inside. This facemask was very good and beneficial if you have spot prone skin. The results seen was a reduction in spots and generally clearer looking complexion. We recommend buying the trial pack first. We also picked up the new released Baby Skin.
This is a silicone based primer from Maybelline. The main reason we wanted to try out this product is because we really love the Baby Lip collection of Lip Balms so we felt that this would be good quality product. We have heard mixed opinions on this product. We have heard that it wasn't that good however we have also heard that it is a dupe for the Benefit Porefessional.
Speaking of Benefit, we then went to the Benefit shop on Carnaby Street and it was such good service and we really recommend going and checking out the store because they have good quality makeup and also very friendly and helpful staff. While in the store we bought a concealer and the Hoola Bronzer and the They're Real Mascara. Since we bought 3 products we got a free gift with purchase and you could either choose a mirror, a makeup bag or a umbrella. We chose the gift we thought we would use most so we opted for the makeup bag which is very big and spacious.
The concealer cost around £18. We feel that the concealer isn't the best because it didn't live up to expectations. The description claims it is 'Industrial Strength' however it didn't live up to that. It doesn't give as much coverage as thought. We also bought the Hoola Bronzer which we think is a staple piece for a makeup collection because it a good matte bronzer and is worth the money. This bronzer cost around £24. The last item we bought in Benefit on Carnaby street was the They're Real Mascara. This mascara is absolutely amazing and it really does make your lashes look like fake lashes. This is a product we definitely recommend. Overall, our experience in Benefit was very welcoming and we got a cute tote bag.
We then headed to Brandy Melville. Brandy Melville is a popular American Store and when we saw it we had to go in and buy something. The shop was so pretty and vintage, it gave a warming atmosphere. The shop was decorated very well with vintage signs hanging up and little wooden tables. It even had a old photo booth that printed your photos in black and white and it was such a good experience. the shop sold many cute and simple clothing pieces. In the end we only bought one thing. We bought a maroon skirt, which cost £20. It was an easy shopping experience since they only sold one size.
We then went to Victoria Secret. Victoria Secret was such a good shopping experience. The store was very modern and had a glass staircase and it was a very pretty store. It was very busy inside and in the end we bought a few body sprays.
We bought the scents; Love spell, Sensual Blush and Pure Seduction. Our favourite smell of all time from Victoria Secret is Love Spell, which smells like peaches. Whenever we wear this scent we always get compliments on it. We bought Pure Seduction because many people had said it was a good scent from Victoria Secret so we bought that. Sensual Blush reminds us of a Hollister spray so that is why we bought that scent. All these scents smell very fruity and fresh.
The last place we went is New Look and we didn't feel there was many things we wanted to buy but in the end we found one thing. A pair of shoes.
These are a pair of Maroon Converse look alikes and they were £9.99. We felt that this was a good price for a pair of shoes so we ended up buying a pair to wear since we thought they would go with many outfits.
So that is our London Haul, everything we bought in London. We hope you enjoyed reading this and we will do another blog post soon.
